For a Mallard pilot, Chalks is somewhat of a holy grail company, alongside Antilles air boats or the Virgin Island Seaplane Shuttle, or, maybe even Paspaley Aviation. To interview and talk with an ex-chalks pilot was amazing and Arthur Campbell didn’t disappoint.
Arthur Campbell flew all of the Grumman Flying Boats at Chalk's Ocean Airways in his 18 year career with the company. His stories of his time flying off the water will take you back to the good old days of Flying Boat aviation in Miami and the Bahamas.
